Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies
My name is Barbara Ervin. This will be my 27th year teaching in Walton County. I have been married to Boyd Ervin, my high school sweetheart, for 36 years. We have 2 sons, Pete, 29; and Bobby 26. Pete married Ansley Butler on October 10, 2015. Bobby and his wife Abbi have blessed us with two beautiful granddaughters, Ella Rae who turned 6 this summer and Erin Kate who will be 3 in December. I am proud to be a part of Youth Middle School and I look forward to working together to make this a successful year. Please feel free to contact me with any comments or concerns.

Ervinville
As part of the positive reinforcement plan in my classroom, the students will participate in civic activities related to running their own community. Officials will be elected, students will apply for a variety of jobs, paychecks will be issued, taxes will be paid, and shopping will occur. In order to receive a full paycheck each week, students must attend school regularly, complete all assignments, and behave appropriately. Any contributions to the Ervinville store are greatly appreciated and needed! The more contributions we receive the better stocked the stores will be for each classroom.
Schoology
We will be using Schoology in our classroom this year. I will place important assignments and reminders in Schology. This is also where students will post projects like powerpoint assignments and essays. Please check this site for missing assignments and/or to get help from peers when needed or when you are absent. Schoology codes were sent home with all students along with parent codes.
